These haunting images capture the abandoned resort as it appeared in2013.
By this time, nature and looters had left theirmark but the faded elegance
could still be felt—tables had been set, suites had been cleaned, pillows
plumped, bedsmade, just like it had been a normal day. Everything had been
left in readiness to receive guests, when the previous ownerwalked away.
According to records on file, more than twomillion dollars in back taxes
were owed and thousandsmore to creditors.
