For the past 25 years,
D.J. Wiley has been trading superior quality meats for qual-
ity establishments across North America. DJ Steaks was born after D.J.’s friends and fam-
ily sampled the steaks that D.J. has access to and requested a box or two for their own
freezers. Word spread quickly and soon complete strangers were calling to say they
had tried “DJ’s steaks” at “so and so’s” house and wanted to know if they could order a
box too. D.J. would oblige until finally, because the demand had become so high, he
decided to create a website to make ordering and delivering easier for all. With 20 years’ experience in direct mar-
keting, D.J.’s wife Diane helped launch the website and the rest is history.
DJSTEAKS.COM has been delivering the finest steaks and specialty products money can buy to the GTA for the last
2 years, and because D.J. and his family spend so much time in the Southern Georgian Bay area it only made sense
that our area be next on their ever-expanding delivery schedule.
The entire selection is individually vacuum wrapped so the product arrives at your door with the freshness sealed right

Jennifer White
has been in the restaurant industry since she was 13 years old. She
worked at the Original “WildOrchid Café” and at the age of 23 Jennifer was presented
with the opportunity to buy the business. She pooled her resources, cashed in her savings
and did just that. In the beginning the Café was located where the Thornbury Tim Hor-
ton’s now stands. Due to circumstances beyond her control Jennifer was forced to close
the restaurant when she could not find a suitable building to relocate to.
A few years later a building became available a few kilometers down the highway and the new owners sought Jennifer
out, asking her to consider reopening the Café. At the urging of the townsfolk who missed TheWild Orchid’s friendly staff
and home-cooked food, she reopened and renamed her business “The Orchid”. Jennifer’s former staff came back along
with her loyal customers, and soon The Orchid was solidified as the all-day breakfast Mecca for The Town of Blue Moun-
tains. It wasn’t long before The Orchid’s popularity outgrew the small space and Jennifer jumped at the chance to move
closer to town, to a space she could design to suit. In May of 2012 The Orchid reopened its doors again, this time back
in the heart of Thornbury, much to the delight of residents and visitors. Ironically, this new location is just two doors down
from the where the original Wild Orchid Café began.
Both a line cook and a server, Jennifer is completely hands on and runs her business with the help of her two daughters
and head Chef Dan McEwen. Besides their amazing all-day breakfast The Orchid is known for their incredible hamburg-
ers, and have a full dinner menu. Multiple substitutions are surprisingly encouraged (at no extra charge) and menu items
include gluten-free, non-processed foods and everything is home made. Jennifer has a mind for the environment, using
environmentally friendly cleaning products and stocking biodegradable take-out containers that fully recycle within a
