Like a breath of Spring.
It’s so welcome. So comforting. So inspiring.
I marvel at these days of transition and transformations and I celebrate the
unpredictable mood swings it can whip up. I gaze in awe at the rebirth
around me and rejoice in its magic. A simple tip of green emerging from the
earth can make me positively giddy with anticipation. With the promise of
what’s to come. With the hope.
There’s a softness to Spring. You can feel it, smell it and hear it all around
you. Spring is playful. It’s a child. It has a gentle touch and an embrace that’s
lush with warmth. I’m so thrilled to have it back.
I promise to fill Spring with as much joy as I can muster. I will dig and I will
plant. I will hike and bike and explore. I will gather with people I love and I
will prepare dishes of tender shoots, young sprouts and fresh greens for all
to enjoy. I will polish and dust and eliminate clutter. I will walk barefoot on
the grass and everyday I will say thank you.
I’m so ready.
