are farmers — in Africa! Their crop is coffee but they’ve chosen to make
their home here. Thornbury residents flock to their delightful Café / Roastery and now Collingwood has
its own. Sue Carr is overseeing the new venture, ensuring it maintains the same charm and cozy atmosphere
where customers are warmly welcomed and treated to a truly unique café experience. You won’t find a
drive-thru here thankfully - better for the environment and more enjoyable for the customer!
Roasted in-house, Ashanti is the freshest cup of coffee you will find anywhere - “Deep in the heart of East
Africa's beautiful Highlands, we grow our coffee plants on temperate slopes in rich red soils - in harmony
with nature, encouraging ethical and sustainable practices.” says David.
The Café offers all manner of favourite coffee creations — cappuccino, lattes etc. and an excellent selection
of teas. You’ll also be tempted by delectable home baking and utterly delicious dine-in or take-away meals
many prepared by Season Leone’s “Culinary Designs Catering” as well as pizzas, wraps, fresh assorted
salads, hot soups and other seasonal-themed items prepared in-house. Coffee themed items and gift baskets
are also on hand for purchase - perfect for gifting!
Similar to the Thornbury location, customers who prefer a custom blend will be able to keep their specific
blend recipe on file and unroasted green beans will be available for clients who wish to roast at home.
Ashanti will also pre-brew coffee for entertaining at home, provided in take-away urns. Simple!
Ashanti coffee is also available for purchase at several local outlets and grocery chains across the province.
