Wild turkeys may come into semi-rural areas in search of food and
shelter, and may damage gardens and foul decks and lawns.
Very rarely, wild turkeys will act aggressively towards people or pets.
How to prevent conflicts...
Never feed wild turkeys.
Clean up spilt seeds under bird feeders or consider removing your
bird feeder permanently.
Make your property appear unwelcoming by adding of scarecrows
or predator decoys.
The presence of a dog is often enough to scare turkeys away.
